Job Title: Sybase DBA

Location: Manhattan, NY

Duration: 5+ Months Contract

Client have an immediate need for Sybase DBA. The client requires candidates to be onsite M-F in Manhattan, NY. Sybase experience is a must.

Contract Description :

• Oversee the management and maintenance of Sybase ASE and Sybase Replication Server databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Conduct in-depth performance tuning and optimization to ensure efficient database operations, utilizing advanced monitoring tools and techniques.
• Develop and implement robust backup and recovery procedures, as well as disaster recovery plans, to safeguard database integrity.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize database design for application performance, including advising on best practices and potential enhancements.
• Provide critical 24x7 support for database environments, resolving complex issues and ensuring minimal downtime.

Qualifications :

• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a DBA, with extensive expertise in managing Sybase ASE and Sybase Replication Server environments.
• Proven track record in database performance tuning and optimization, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance issues.
• Strong practical experience in database security, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in SQL scripting and familiar with scripting for automation of DBA tasks, using database monitoring tools.
• Ability to work onsite every day in New York, NY. (Manhattan)
