Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Goleta, CA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
  • Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
  • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensures processes and procedures comply with regulations.
  • It is also important for them to have completed a significant manufacturing engineering project, ideally one where they led a team to accomplish the individual project tasks.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing or Aerospace or Electrical or Systems Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of mechanically / electrically oriented manufacturing engineering experience (ideally in the Aerospace industry)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working directly with assembly technicians, ideally some hands-on experience with high-reliability composites or electro-mechanical assembly processes
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Process Development for manufacturing of a new design
  • Minimum 2 years of Root Cause and Corrective Action experience (RCCA)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a high-reliability manufacturing environment (automotive, aerospace, biomedical industry)

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • NASA J-STD certification
  • Demonstrates ability to identify problems and bring cross-functional groups together to find a resolution
  • Demonstrate ownership over identifying root causes and implementing a corrective action
  • They also need to have problem solving experience, even better to be green belt or black belt certified.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Potential for limited overtime and occasional work on 'off Fridays'
