JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. 4 to 6 years of experience in administration of On-premise Hadoop and its related ecosystems such as MapReduce (MRVx, YARN), Pig, Hive, Sqoop, Zookeeper, Oozie, Kafka, Hcatalog, Spark, Python, etc.
2. Experience with building and maintaining Big Data and Fast Data applications using Open source software like Spark, Flume, Kafka.
3. Ability to work independently and within/outside the team to get things done.
4. Data Governance, Security & Operations experience.
5. Understanding of Object-Oriented programming like Java and Functional programming concepts using languages such as Scala (not required).
6. Understanding of Test Driven Development concepts and supportive tools like Cucumber.
7. Experience with Build and CI tools like Jenkins.
8. Familiarity with Version control tools, preferably Git and GitHub.
