About The Role
Ubiquiti Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Draper, UT to act as a Bluetooth engineer for Ubiquiti chip-based products. In this role, you will:
- Develop Bluetooth-related features such as Bluetooth-Bridge and Bluetooth-Connectivity;
- Handle Bluetooth-related issues reported by users from the Ubiquiti forum;
- Coordinate and collaborate across teams;
- Act as an AP Driver/Firmware Engineer for Ubiquiti products and develop AP-related features such as minimum rate control, radius mac-based authentication, band-steering and wireless uplink;
- Address AP-related issues reported by users through the Ubiquiti forum;
- Handle AP-related issues that arise from the factory side.
A qualified applicant must live within reasonable commuting distance of Draper, UT.
Knowledge And Experience
The position requires a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related technical field, plus at least six (6) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Firmware Engineer, or in a similar occupation engaged in the design and development of Bluetooth products. A qualified applicant’s experience must include:
- 2 years of experience using Git version control;
- 6 years of experience with the development flow of Linux embedded systems and FreeRTOS;
- 4 years of experience with Wi-Fi IoT devices (ESP8266, ESP32, and/or MediaTek);
- 6 years of experience using 802.11 Wi-Fi standard;
- 6 years of experience developing Wi-Fi AP router and gateway.
