Control Engineer

Direct Hire Role!

As a Controls Engineer you would work in the Downers Grove, Illinois office.

Experience with programming and field commissioning is important, electrical design experience is a plus!

Responsibilities include:

1. Follow your assigned projects from kick-off to start-up completion.
2. Specify components and design architecture of electrical control systems per industry standard practices.
3. Supervise the drafting and design team with development of schematics and layouts.
4. Supervise the panel fabrication of your projects in our onsite fabrication facility.
5. Development of PLC and HMI programming.
6. VFD and Servo Motion programming.
7. Testing and Simulation of Systems.
8. Commissioning and start-up of industrial equipment in the field.
9. Electrical controls field troubleshooting and problem solving.
10. Overnight travel is required. (25%)

Requirements to Qualify:

1. BSEE, BSME, or equivalent technical degree.
2. Applicants should have 4-10 years in the following areas: Electrical Schematic Design, PLC programming, HMI Programming, VFD Setup and parametrization, IO set up and checkout and PID Control setup and tuning.
3. Comfortable with hands-on work.
4. Any experience with the following Software: Studio 5000, Factorytalk SE & ME, TIA Portal, WinCC, Wonderware, Ignition AB ControlLogix, Powerflex VFD, Kinetix Motion, AB and Siemens Distributed IO, G120 & S120 Siemens drives.
