Software Engineer (Mid/Sr - Backend)

Early-stage opportunity with a fast-growing startup just coming out of "Stealth Mode" and building an enterprise product with gen-AI infrastructure. Excellent founding team with VC support and generating significant security industry buzz.
Here you'll own the design & development of backend systems to serve APIs, customer integration layer, data services, video generation infrastructure, and customer portals. The systems you design and build will be foundational to the end-to-end products on top of them. You should be someone to take pride in building reliable, maintainable, and extensible services while helping refine product requirements into designs and systems that anticipate our needs as we evolve.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's (or Master's) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 4 years of professional software engineering experience building backends and APIs to support web applications in Python
- Strong foundation and fundamentals in Computer Science
- Experience with Django, or similar DB/backend systems (a plus)
- Experience building and integrating with external APIs
- Experience with AWS, terraform, EKS, and cloud systems
- Experience building ETL and data pipelines (a plus)
- Experience with building distributed systems and backends (a plus)
Base Salary (145K - 175K) + early equity (percentage-based)
This role is being hired Hybrid, in San Francisco, in office ~3 days/week.
