Senior Python Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer with a strong background in investment or financial institutions to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Python, its libraries, and have experience in the financial sector. They will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our existing systems, services, and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development & Maintenance: Develop and maintain existing systems, services, and applications using Python.
2. Clean Code: Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with a cross-functional team including developers, traders, and other business users.
4. Testing: Write automated unit tests and integration tests to ensure code reliability and robustness.
5. Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve issues within existing systems.
6. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends in technology, design patterns, and programming languages.
7. Integration: Work with integration of Snowflake and Salesforce APIs.
8. Full Stack Development: Ability to work across the full application stack is a notable advantage.
9. DevOps: Familiarity with AWS or Azure DevOps processes.

Qualifications:

1. Strong understanding of Python programming language and its libraries.
2. Experience developing on Snowflake data layer with SnowPark or Streamlit is a plus.
3. Proficiency in other development languages/frameworks such as C++, C#, Angular, JavaScript, SQL, Java .Net.
4. Experience with financial data platforms like Bloomberg, Factset, Morningstar, Archer, or trading platforms is an advantage.
5. Strong structured math and quantitative data skills.
6. Familiarity with R, Matlab, or other structured math toolsets is a bonus.
7. Experience working with virtualization and container technologies.
8. Knowledge of international financial markets, derivatives products, and models.
