About the Role

The Security Engineer has a profound technical background and is responsible for monitoring and managing customers’ network infrastructure and delivering a managed service. He/She has end-to-end responsibility for the daily management of network and security infrastructure for a wide range of managed customers. He/She also performs a thorough follow-up of alerts within the customer network using a management system by proactively and reactively taking necessary steps.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and manage the customer's network infrastructure and security events (from the NSOC) to guarantee a safe and performant network environment.
  2. Assess alerts from the monitoring system daily and take appropriate action when needed.
  3. Take ownership of tickets generated by the monitoring system and ensure follow-up within SLA boundaries.
  4. Work together with the Design Authority to improve overall network design and performance.
  5. Use Security expertise to assist customers in implementing valuable security measures on their IT infrastructure.
  6. React to security alerts discovered by alerting tools and take necessary actions to limit operational impact towards customers.
  7. Define and implement new Security Services to help customers reduce risks on their IT infrastructure.
  8. Define high-level Security Policies with customers and implement them throughout the complete IT chain.
  9. Collaborate with the group's Security experts to align security efforts within the Orange Business Group.
  10. Assist customers in keeping their networks up-to-date and execute change and support requests.
  11. Focus on straightforward and relevant problem solutions.
  12. Explore various alternatives and implement the most appropriate solutions based on experience and knowledge.
  13. Follow up with customers to ensure provided solutions are effective.
  14. Notice problems related to tasks and suggest solutions.
  15. Recognize priorities and seek help in determining them.
  16. Involve vendor support as needed to achieve goals.
  17. Keep customers' documentation up to date.

Result: All changes, incidents, and service requests requested by the customer or initiated by the monitoring system are handled and closed professionally and in compliance with current security standards, respecting internal Orange Business processes and procedures.


About You

5 years of experience in an IT service-oriented position supporting and/or performing installations of networking/security environments, with proven experience in IT systems administration/support/configuration.

Specific Competencies:

  1. Fluency in English.
  2. Cisco certified: CCNA (Security, Routing & Switching), CCNP (Security, Routing & Switching).
  3. Solid experience with Fortinet & Palo Alto.
  4. Experience in an IT service role, supporting and troubleshooting network security environments.
  5. Ability to communicate clearly, verbally, and in writing at all levels.
  6. Ability to work as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision.
  7. Hold security certifications relevant to the vendors above.
