Position Summary:
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automating processes, and managing infrastructure as code. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, system administration, and a deep understanding of DevOps principles and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to streamline code deployments and system integrations.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system reliability and scalability.
- Automate repetitive tasks, processes, and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Implement and maintain configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Ensure security best practices are followed in all DevOps activities, including access control, encryption, and vulnerability management.
- Develop and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest DevOps tools, technologies, and industry trends to continuously improve practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CI.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including relevant services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong understanding of networking, security practices, and system administration.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- DevOps-related certifications AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator are a plus.
