Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineer with a PE license to join our team in either the West Palm or Okeechobee office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and a proven track record of managing projects from inception through completion. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, design standards, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of civil engineering projects, including site development, roadway design, drainage, and utility design.
- Collaborate closely with surveyors, administrators, and other engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and prepare detailed engineering plans.
- Review and approve project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Participate in client meetings, project status updates, and strategic planning sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site development, roadway, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, or similar.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations.
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
