Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking Site Reliability Engineers who are passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

Team Info:

The Capital One Data Insights (CODI) team is building and enabling real-time, machine learning powered actionable insights from any dataset without writing a single line of code (unless you really want to!). This real-time capability is being further enhanced to include low-latency stateful streaming to bring an intelligent call center vision for Capital One a reality. On this team, you will engineer and deploy capabilities on a Kubernetes cluster, be empowered to innovate, challenge the status quo and bring forth new architecture designs while trying out the latest open source technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree
2. At least 4 years of experience in DevOps Engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
3. At least 2 years of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
4. At least 2 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 2+ years of experience with Terraform or Ansible, CI/CD, Git, and Jenkins
2. 2+ years of experience with multi-tenant container orchestration platforms and services including Docker and Kubernetes
3. 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes based cloud-native technologies such as argo, kubeflow, istio, linkerd, and dex.
4. 2+ years of experience with coding and scripting (Python, Bash, SQL, and Golang or comparable languages)
5. 2+ years of experience working with Agile Development Practices
