AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.


Are you an experienced cloud architect who can assist our customers in architecting, developing and re-engineering applications that can fully leverage the AWS Cloud? AWS ProServe India LLP is looking for highly talented hands-on technical architects to help accelerate our growing Professional Services business in India. This is an excellent opportunity to join Amazon’s world-class technical teams, working with some of the best and brightest engineers while also developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and progressive technology companies.


As a Cloud Architect in our Professional Services team in India, you will help our customers develop technical expertise and capacity, while also collaborating with our partners on key engagements. You will deliver implementation projects focusing on building key customer solutions to deploy and operate their business-critical applications, leveraging the global scale, elasticity, automation, and high-availability features of AWS.


You will collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to enable customers and partners to use AWS services in key market verticals and lead them through organizational and SDLC transformations. Engagements will include setting up of CI/CD pipelines for existing and new applications, migration of existing applications, and development of new applications using AWS cloud services. You will build solutions for customers with Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon Simple DB/RDS databases, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), CloudFormation, API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, SQS, CloudWatch, Kinesis, and others.


Work with AWS engineering and support teams to convey partner and customer needs and feedback as input to technology roadmaps. Share real-world implementation challenges and recommend new capabilities that would simplify adoption and drive greater value from the use of AWS cloud services.


This role is a customer-facing role requiring the ability to travel for projects within India. This role is open for Mumbai.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Knowledge of the primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3)
  2. Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
  3. 5+ years of IT implementation experience
  4. Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies
  5. Experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
