Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with 6+ years of experience to manage all aspects of project execution, from system designs and specifications to production and field observations. You will be working on a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare, and educational. This role also involves mentoring junior engineers and engaging with professional organizations to expand your expertise and network. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, specification, and production processes for mechanical systems in a range of project types including commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare, and educational.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring that all aspects are completed on schedule and meet the necessary technical standards.
  • Conduct field observations and provide guidance during the installation and commissioning phases to ensure systems are built and operate as designed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders, to integrate mechanical designs into overall project plans.
  • Lead the creation of detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP software.
  • Review designs for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments to improve performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Stay current with industry standards, building codes, and technologies to ensure that all designs meet regulatory and client requirements.
  • Mentor and support junior mechanical engineers, providing guidance and sharing technical knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with demonstrated expertise in project management across various industries.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (required) and Revit MEP.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • LEED Accredited Professional is a plus, with a strong understanding of sustainable design principles.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and lead a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present ideas and collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
