GENERAL SUMMARY
As a Senior Scheduling Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects by developing and managing company-wide comprehensive schedules using Primavera P6 software. In this role, you will collaborate closely with superintendents, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to create standardizations of construction schedules that align with project objectives and timelines. Your expertise in Primavera P6 software and scheduling methodologies will enable you to optimize resources, identify critical paths, and proactively address potential delays and conflicts. This position is responsible for creating a company standard for scheduling sequencing, developing, and delivering training, and providing critical feedback for multiple ongoing project schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
SCHEDULING & PROJECT DEVELOPMENT 60% of time
- Create scheduling standard operation procedures and ensure conformation of those standards.
- Develop, update, and analyze project schedules using industry-standard software.
- Partner with Marketing and Preconstruction Estimating teams to create alignment in bid and proposal schedules.
- Collaborate with teams to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Advise and support Change Management delays.
- Monitor progress, identify delays, and propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate changes and updates to project schedules.
- Present progress reports to stakeholders.
BEST PRACTICES & OPTIMIZATION 40% of time
- Create and train project teams on standardizations and reinforce consistent guidelines among project teams.
- Optimize resource allocation for efficiency.
- Support Lean and Pull Planning session by ensuring the master schedule is aligned with pull plan results. May also lead and facilitate the Pull Planning sessions.
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders.
- Provide guidance on scheduling best practices.
- Ensure schedules align with quality standards and critical path methodology.
- Maintain comprehensive project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 software.
- Opportunities for growth into future involvement with Virtual Design team building integrations with quantities and other technologies into master schedules.

TALENT, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's and/or Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Scheduling Engineer or similar role in the commercial construction industry.
- Knowledge of Lean processes or Lean certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Understand and perform project scheduling and cost control.
- In-depth knowledge of construction scheduling methodologies and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify and facilitate scheduling conflicts.
- Effective verbal and written communication adapting to various audiences.
- Takes ownership and leads independently.
- High level of detail orientation and follow through.
- Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
