Job Requirements / Description
Job Title:: Data Quality Engineer
Location: P referably KC (if not, will have to travel to KC as needed)
Type: Long-term Contract
Job Summary:
Work with P&C Analytics group to understand the current data validation solution and business scenarios.
Make enhancements as directed by Core broking business team in collaboration with data services and
other app teams. Design/develop tools and enhancements for data quality monitoring across systems.
Direct Responsibilities:
Business/Quality analysis:
Analyze business scenarios, rules and process and data quality requirements,
failure points, monitoring needs and collaborate with delivery and operations teams to design and
implement solutions
• Excellent data analytics skills
• Ability to develop effective dashboards and backend quality checks
• Ability to work with end users and translate business needs to technical solutions
Design and Delivery:
Design/develop tools and enhancements for data quality monitoring across systems
• Tools for data analysis to detect data issues including PowerBI, SQL, databricks scripts, synapse,
etc
• Work on centralized monitoring system (Azure based using tools like App Insight, LogAnalytics,
etc.)
• Actively manage issues and tasks related to data quality
• Data language skills (Advanced SQL, Python, Power scripts, etc)
CI/CD capabilities:
Azure Dev Ops (releases and pipelines), infrastructure as code (Terraform)
Technical SME/Tech lead: Serve as the POC for data monitoring.
• Triage issues to determine root cause and forward to respective teams as needed
• Actively manage issues and tasks related to data quality
• Develop SOPs and documentation for building support knowledge base
• Develop SME and function as escalation point for L1 team (when developed)
• Advanced skills in Data Engineering, Data Lake, Data Warehousing and Reporting/Analytics
using MS Azure suite (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, ADLS, Synapse, Logic Apps,
Azure Portal, Azure APIs)
• Dev/DataOps: Managing hygiene related to logs and database sizes, back-ups, space utilization,
process performance, DR techniques, logging and alerts, Azure AD
• Able to effectively use project management tools (ADO) and MS office suite
Tech skills:
• PowerBI (expert)
• Azure data engineering (ADF, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS, SQL, Logicapps, Powershell)
(developer level knowledge)
• DevOps (ADO, App Insight, portal, Mulesoft, Salesforce) (familiarity)

• Ability to multi-task, moving easily between strategy, operations and development activities
• Previous QC and operations experience.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent. Masters preferred
• Certifications in above technical areas preferred
