Role: Senior Android- Linux Software Engineer

Location: Redmond, WA (3 Days Onsite in a week)

Duration: 6 Months+

The Mixed Reality Systems and Software Engineering team has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer with experience in Android/Linux OS frameworks SW design & implementation.

Responsibilities

1. Design and implement system-level APIs and frameworks to enable application use cases for Mixed Reality products.
2. Help define the next generation of Mixed Reality products.
3. Work in close partnership with a team of cross-discipline peers including design, hardware, PM, and Quality Engineering for sustained long-term success of Mixed Reality products.

Required skills:

1. A BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
2. 6+ years of relevant software design and development experience.
3. Experience working with Android Linux or Windows system-level frameworks and internals.
4. Experience working with embedded systems.
5. Writing performance-critical code in C/C++.
6. Outstanding technical problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent design, coding, and debugging skills.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills

1. Windows or Linux device SW driver development
2. Hardware bring-up and Manufacturing
3. BSP and OS image creation
4. Experience using Java, Rust, or Kotlin.
