Quality Tech/CMM- Active Manufacturing Job Summary: Active Manufacturing is looking to hire a 1st shift Quality Tech/CMM Programmer. Essential Duties: • The most essential part of this job is programming and operating our Zeiss CMM machine for parts measurements with data analysis for part conformance. • Program for complex machined components. • Maintain CMM equipment per ISO requirements for calibration and CMM annual maintenance. • Assist the Quality Manager in support of customer satisfaction, customer audits and ISO 9001 certification audits. • Daily part inspection dimensional layouts of manufactured parts. • Ability to read and understand part drawings, tolerancing and GD&T. • Interpret GD&T and program the software accordingly. • Communicate documented inspection results to the Quality Manager and manufacturing personnel as necessary. • Maintain gages and gage calibration as required. • Support PPAP approvals for customers such as capability studies, gage repeatability and reproducibility studies, etc., when needed. (Will train if no experience.). • Daily use of Excel spreadsheets and occasional formulas. • Creation of inspection sheet and bubble drawing. • Process and containment of parts with defects or out of tolerance parts. • Perform receiving, in-process and final inspection of product to determine product compliance to specifications, including re-work and scrap activities. • Assistance with corrective actions for non-conformances, as needed. • Perform and maintain gage calibration system. • Contribute to quality procedures and internal auditing. • May perform part operation duties as needed. • Other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: • 2+ years' experience in CMM operating and programming. • 2+ year' experience in GD&T and be able to interpret information. • Competency with quality related measuring devices (Calipers, height/depth gauges, micrometers, testing equipment, etc.) • Understating of ISO 9001. • Ability to learn additional software. • Ability to problem-solve reverse engineer, and generate moves as required. • Decision making skills, organizational skills, detail oriented and selfmotivated. • Competent in the use of Microsoft Suite products: Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Ability to read and apply information from part drawings. • Must have a procedural mindset, the ability to prioritize, understanding of quality management principles, attention to detail, ability to analyze data and understand connections. • Effective communicator with all levels of the organization. • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, twist and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Please note that our facility is clean and well-maintained, as well as temperature controlled.
