RF Engineer - Telecommunications
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced RF Engineer to join our Telecommunications team. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of Telecommunication RF Engineers to manage all aspects of RF design for macros, modifications, and small cells. You will also be responsible for reviewing construction closeout documents.
Required Skills
  • Prior Telecommunication experience working with Nokia and/or Samsung
  • Knowledge of RF theory and design for 5G (any band) NR, 4G LTE, CBand/N77, and CBRS to contribute to network designs
  • Strong understanding of various RF tools such as Mapinfo, ArcGIS, Google Earth, Atoll, IXUS, FUZE Planning, Tracker, Dashboard, SPM, RFDS, and Conquest
  • Knowledge of massive MIMO and 4x4 MIMO technology
  • Frequency/PCI/RSI planning and de-confliction
  • Proficiency in productivity software such as MS Office and Google Suite
  • Superior organizational and project planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
Desired Skills
  • Knowledge of scripting tools and automation using Visual Basic and Python (or any other language)
  • Experience with Model Tuning
  • Understanding of LTE network KPIs and key parameters
Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform Macro/Small Cell design in Atoll, including antenna selection and placement for urban and suburban environments
  2. Conduct intermodulation analyses of antenna systems and components
  3. Calculate efficiency of various multiple-antenna schemes and analyze tradeoffs
  4. Calculate link budgets to evaluate system performance and reliability
  5. Determine and analyze antenna-related parameters and their effects on coverage and capacity
  6. Design and implement antenna systems, including various types, patterns, and installations
  7. Submit E911 and TVW's to the CSCF team to meet activation timelines
  8. Create RFDS' in FUZE and load CQ's via Conquest
  9. Review real estate applications for accuracy prior to lease execution
  10. Evaluate regulatory compliance for sites concerning health, safety, and environmental requirements
  11. Conduct EME analysis, generate reports, and ensure compliance with RFE mitigation standards
  12. Review construction documents to verify as-built construction vs RF design

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field
  • Four or more years of relevant RF design and optimization work experience
Work Arrangement
  • Hybrid schedule:
    • Tuesdays and Wednesdays: Office-based in Little Rock, AR
    • Monday, Thursday, and Friday: Remote work
  • Requirement: Reliable home internet connection for VPN access to the office
