Position DescriptionClient is seeking an Engineering Planning Specialist to support multiple Engineering Program teams. You will support the program engineering manager (PEM) and various integrated product team (IPT) leads on a daily basis, responsible for supporting a PEM/IPT with the management of cost, schedule, and performance of the work directives. Tasks may include, but are not limited to:Developing and maintaining Project Planning WorkbooksSupport of Control Account Manager (CAM) duties for the WDsRisk management activitiesMaintaining program schedules/development of project plansDeveloping or reviewing estimatesMonitoring work and expenditures to ensure schedule and budget are maintainedSupport of program management reviews and Lifecycle Management activitiesPreparation of status reports and other program documentationDevelopment and analysis of program metrics, including program staffingCoordinate, proof, manage and assemble program deliverables for the customer as well as internal status reports and tracking documentationSkills RequiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsCandidate must be resourceful and work independently to develop approaches to solutionsAbility to initiate, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong analytical skillsProficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Skills PreferredProficiency in PM Compass for monitoring earned valueMS Project, Access, and VisioExcel Pivot TablesAble to manipulate reports generated in PowerBITechnical knowledge of defense systemsExperience working with engineersBachelor's degree preferredExperience RequiredMinimum 8 years of related experienceBasic project management/project controls experience such as scheduling, risk, and/or planningSome experience with program financial reporting and analysisExperience PreferredExperience reporting on Earned ValueExperience with risk and opportunity managementEducation RequiredAssociate's Degree preferably in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field of studyEducation PreferredBachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field of study About US Tech Solutions: US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
