Injection Mold Tooling Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Injection Mold Tooling Engineer to join our team in Dayton, OH. As part of this role, you will be responsible for specifying, procuring, and implementing new Injection Molding Tooling for our North American sites, managing tooling suppliers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective tools. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop tool specifications and coordinate tool builds
• Interact with product design team for feedback on part designs
• Manage tooling suppliers for new tooling construction and delivery
• Coordinate mold trials at manufacturing locations
• Ensure plastic parts are inspected properly for quality
• Travel to tool shops and manufacturing plants (10-20% travel required)

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in plastic injection mold tool design and development
• Automotive HVAC and/or radiator tank injection mold tooling experience is a plus
• Mechanical/Technical Diploma/Degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and equipment design is desirable
