We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux web application support, experience with dialer systems, and a solid foundation in helpdesk Level 1-2 support. A willingness to learn and adapt is essential. The candidate must also be able to balance multiple tasks while prioritizing support as the main focus.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Linux and Windows server environments.
- Support Pharmacists using the MedWatchers' proprietary web application (Care Management Application).
- Baseline, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize servers, desktops, and network infrastructure, including Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
- Manage and monitor services to ensure proper function and performance.
- Implement and maintain secure network protocols and technologies, such as SSL/TLS, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of website applications.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and server issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in the design and implementation of network and server infrastructure projects.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to network and server administration.
- Assist and follow different procedures and policies related to various compliance standards, including HITRUST, HIPAA, and others.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT administration, with a focus on Linux and dialer systems (e.g., Five9, NICE, Genesys).
- Experience with helpdesk Level 1-2 support, demonstrating strong customer service skills.
- Strong knowledge of Linux server operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows environments, specifically Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Expertise in IP networking concepts, including TCP/IP and network security.
- Familiarity with monitoring and analysis tools.
- Knowledge of network security best practices and experience with VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks while prioritizing support as the main focus.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and expand skill sets.
- Experience with automation is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications, such as Linux+, Linux Foundation Certs, or RHCE.
- Experience with virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
