Who we are:

Our client is looking for a Software Engineer focused on Data / ML Platform.

Requirements

• Productionizing the algorithms invented by our ML team by designing and implementing systems that perform data ingestion, data processing, ML training, and ML inference
• Optimizing code for speed, scalability, security, and reliability
• Ideating and prototyping novel product features enabled by our research
• Collaborating with our data scientists and machine learning engineers to integrate feedback

Tech stack

Python, Polars, Arrow, Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn

Candidate requirements

• 1 - 10 years of experience in software engineering & data platform architecture and engineering. We just want really bright engineers, and believe they can learn any new tech stack in a week.

Nice to Have:

• Several years of cross-team initiatives in a platform or infrastructure-focused environment. You should have led impactful technical initiatives where first-order concerns include performance, data security, cost efficiency, ease of use, and operability.
• Multiple years of experience running production code and models in cloud environments. You should be comfortable with the unique challenges of running large software systems at scale.
• Previous experience working at top startups or top-tier tech companies.
• Able to mentor and coach other engineers, but eager to primarily work as an individual contributor.
• Strong direct hands-on coding and development experience.
• Strong AWS development experience. Not "just" setting up infra, but also writing apps/services using the infra.
• Strong Python skills.

Compensation: $150k - $250k base + equity + benefits
