The Enterprise Data Platform team is part of Cisco’s Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) organization. The team powers the enterprise level data stack across data warehouse, data lake, tools, and governance / quality platforms. This team also crafts, develops, and implements the long-term platform architecture strategy and roadmap, to support the ever-growing Data and Analytics needs of Cisco’s business functions.
What You'll Do
We have an extraordinary opportunity to join the Enterprise Data Platform team as Business Objects developer. Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets related to Recurring revenue business.
- Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
- Helping business users by developing reports and analysis.
- Managing and crafting the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
- Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
- Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
- Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.
- Generating reports from single or multiple systems.
- Solving the reporting database environment and reports.
- Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
- Training end-users on new reports and dashboards.
- Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
Who You'll Work With
You will be part of the Enterprise Data Platform team within Cisco’s Chief Data and Analytics Organization (CDAO) organization. In CDAO, you will collaborate with colleagues from Data engineering, Data Governance, Data Architecture and Modelling, and Data Products. In addition, you will liaison and work with collaborators outside such as Business architecture and Solutions team, Enterprise Infrastructure, and Security, among others. Finally, you will work and handle third party platform and solution providers.

Minimum qualifications include:
- Can articulate and communicate business problem statement.
- Extensive experience with data analysis and data management.
- Databases (SAP HANA, GCP, Snowflake)
- Build data models and structures on SAP HANA
- Design, develop, and maintain BusinessObjects (BO) universe and reports
- Implement business logic in the BusinessObjects universe layer
- Perform data modeling, data mapping, data transformation, and data standardization
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BusinessObjects tools
- Development experience in at least one object-oriented language (Python, Perl, Java, etc.)
- Experience with infrastructure tools incl. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Git.
- Experience in leading data driven discussions and designing scalable platforms for enterprise Data and Analytics
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other relevant technical fields.
