You possess a substantial track record of orchestrating remarkable Open Source digital solutions in a client services environment. While good developers generate code, you work at a higher level by also clearly communicating the rationale behind your code, articulating how it addresses the challenge and providing a clear path for implementation and testing.

As a Senior Open Source Web Developer, you will assume a pivotal role, not merely as a participant, but as a conductor guiding others in best practices, architecting solutions, and shaping the technical direction of a project through meticulous documentation and guidance. You will lead demos and collaborate with other disciplines to explain how proposed technology solutions fit into the larger business problem. You are able to build and design the architecture of a project, and you know how to thoroughly document a project’s code.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, create, and document high-performing open source solutions using PHP and JavaScript primarily.
  • Architect Web applications along various design approaches such as Domain Driven Design, Log-Driven Development, Test-Driven, and others.
  • Communicate effectively within a team environment, sharing ideas proactively.
  • Design, present, develop, test, debug, maintain, and document Web applications for a variety of clients.
  • Work with AWS hosting infrastructure, setting up local development environments with containers, and familiarity with Lambda.
  • Participate in a remote agency team working in a continuous delivery environment.
  • Apply front-end development principles and languages such as JavaScript, CSS, and modern tech stacks like Next.js and Tailwind CSS.
  • Understand HTML structure and Accessible Web Development.
  • Build and maintain high-performing ecommerce sites and understand ecommerce considerations at scale.
  • Advise the development team on new technologies and methodologies.
  • Lead testing processes and QA of deliverables ensuring performance and efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Design on technology decisions for client needs.
  • Coach and mentor other team members.
  • Monitor technology trends to identify new opportunities and improve existing thinking.

This position requires a B2 CEFR level of spoken and written English language proficiency.
