Position Overview:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer , you will play a key role in leading and executing electrical design projects for a wide range of construction and maintenance initiatives. This position requires a strong technical background, leadership abilities, and the capacity to manage complex projects from concept to completion. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interact directly with clients to ensure all electrical systems meet project specifications, safety standards, and energy efficiency goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems.
- Manage all phases of electrical engineering projects, from initial concept and design through construction and commissioning.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Provide technical expertise, mentor junior engineers, and oversee project teams.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and specifications for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local, state, and national codes.
- Perform load calculations, energy analysis, and system evaluations to ensure optimal performance and sustainability.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve any on-site engineering issues.
- Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices, applying them to improve efficiency and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on design and construction.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
- Proven experience in leading projects, managing teams, and delivering on-time, high-quality results.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
