We are seeking a Staff System Safety Engineer (SSE) to ensure our products are safe for warfighters. The SSE will perform hazard analysis in accordance with MIL-STD-882 and contractual requirements, recommend safety features, and develop safety documentation.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct hazard analysis and recommend safety controls.
Develop and support safety documentation.
Collaborate with systems and software engineering teams.
Mentor and train early career SSEs.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations.
Additional Duties: Develop hazard analyses and software safety assessments.
Review specifications and design changes for safety impacts.
Support customer and test/operational range requirements.
Participate in accident investigations.
Required Qualifications: Active Secret Clearance or Ability to Obtain
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
Experience with System Safety Programs (MIL-STD-882).
Familiarity with implementing a Software Safety Program IAW AOP-52 and DoD guidelines
Developing and evaluating system safety requirements.
Desired Skills: Experience with government Safety Review Boards.
Knowledge of Human Factors Engineering.
Familiarity with missile and launcher systems.
Model-based engineering knowledge.
Experience with DOORS requirements application.
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
