The Big Data Integration Engineer will join KBR's team within the Test Resource Management Center’s Big Data and Knowledge Management Team. The position is aimed at deploying and integrating BD and KM systems across DoD testing Ranges and various acquisition programs. This remote work position allows flexibility in choosing between KBR facilities or home, given a stable internet connection.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Deploy and integrate the Cloud Hybrid Edge-to-Enterprise Evaluation Test & Analysis Suite (CHEETAS) across multiple DoD ranges and labs
- Collaborate with data science and software engineering teams to analyze DoD Test & Evaluation data
- Deploy and configure Big Data and Knowledge Management tools within enterprise environments
- Configure and troubleshoot various Big Data ecosystem tools
- Engage with diverse stakeholders and functional teams
- Become a subject matter expert on CHEETAS deployment
- Work as a critical technical team member for deploying CHEETAS within customer environments
- Coordinate with system administrators and software developers to resolve deployment issues
- Provide deployment services to various DoD testing Ranges and acquisition programs
- Deploy CHEETAS within different environments, some with no outside internet connectivity
- Serve as the primary interface for customers interacting with CHEETAS

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related technical field
- 7-10 years of relevant experience
- 5 years of hands-on experience in Big Data environments
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with tools and technologies such as Helms Charts, YAML, Kubernetes, Kubectl, SQL Server, Windows Server, Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat), Hadoop
- Problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
You would benefit from having:
- Experience in distributed team environments
- Experience working in government/defense labs
- Knowledge of DoD Cybersecurity policies
- Experience with major DoD Acquisition programs such as Joint Strike Fighter or Missile Defense Agency
- Knowledge of Test and Training Enabling Architecture and Joint Mission Environment Testing Capability
The position requires travel up to 25%, with potential surges up to 50%. An active or current Secret Clearance is mandatory, with Top Secret Clearance preferred.
