Mobile Application Developer

The National Security Sector within Leidos is seeking a Mobile Application Developer to provide technical expertise on a mission-critical program whose purpose is to develop, modernize, enhance, operate, and maintain services for DHS/CBP mission-critical systems. Mobile App Developers require a strong mix of communication skills and hands-on technical troubleshooting to support application issues and apply preventative measures.

In this hands-on position, you will work collaboratively to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real-time systems. You will exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines, and other resource constraints. You will participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing. The candidate should have expertise in Mobile App Development.

**This position REQUIRES the candidate to be in Ashburn, VA, 2 times a week**

Basic Qualifications:

1. BS/BA degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 10 years of prior relevant experience; or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree.
2. At least 3 years of experience with Mobile Application Development, must have experience with both Android & iOS.
3. Experience in both Front-end Mobile and Back-end RESTFUL API development.
4. Experience in the development of JAVA and Node JS applications.
5. Experience with both NoSQL and SQL databases.
6. Strong application testing discipline.
7. Experience with Google’s Flutter engine and Google’s Dart language and similar Android/iOS frameworks.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills.
9. Creative thinker.
10. Knowledge of software design patterns.
11. Experience with an issue/problem tracking system (e.g., Jira).
12. Proficiency with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices.
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
14. Experience with DevOps frameworks.
15. Must be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Active CBP BI.
2. Experience with CBP.
3. AWS Experience.
4. Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline.
5. Worked in Agile environments.
6. Other mobile frameworks.

Pay Range: Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
