Staff Software Engineer

We apply bioengineering and machine learning principles to diagnostics in order to build truly quantitative molecular tests. Our QCT platform improves resolution of cell-free DNA testing by >1000x fold and enables novel tests for both prenatal and oncology care.

Who you are:

1. At least 6 years experience in professional software development
2. Very strong knowledge of using a dynamic programming language in production (e.g. python, ruby, javascript)
3. Experience working on both backend and frontend systems
4. Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS
5. Proven track record of shipping software

Nice to haves:

1. Prior work experience at a growth startup

Responsibilities:

1. One-on-one technical leadership: Code review, pair programming, individual mentorship, hiring.
2. Systems and process leadership: devops playbooks, CI+CD, defining testing environments and practices.
3. Writing and coordinating: System design, setting technical milestones, coordinating dependencies / critical path with other engineering teams.
4. Individual contributions.
