Our client, a Global Tech & eComm Brand, is seeking a talented and passionate User Experience Designer to help shape our shopping and retail experiences. This role involves leveraging our ecommerce and merchandising technology to create a best-in-class product that empowers retailers and manufacturers to sell their products seamlessly across their branded websites, phone channels, and in-store, backed by the support, selection, and expertise of a global leader in the tech and ecommerce industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion for designing innovative, user-friendly web applications. The ideal candidate will know how to use visitor data to inform design decisions and evaluate the success of their design solutions. A deep commitment to advocating for users is essential, as this role will significantly impact the user experience for thousands of retailers and manufacturers managing their multichannel ecommerce businesses.
- Full time hours contract, 6+ months

- Rate range: $60-70/hour
Responsibilities:
- Develop process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business and feature requirements using empirical data, usability studies, market research, and proven User-Centered Design (UCD) principles.
- Participate in usability testing to assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features.
- Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and executives for review and feedback.
- Contribute to best practices and standards for user interface design and web applications.
- Provide leadership on ecommerce trends, web application design, and user interface innovations.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of industry experience delivering interaction design solutions for web and/or software applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
- Expertise in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, with strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, and Dreamweaver.
- A strong online portfolio demonstrating relevant user-centered design solutions and past work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills; ability to convey complex, interactive design concepts across different audiences and levels of the organization.
- A self-starter who is customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and an enthusiastic team player.
- Ability to collaborate with highly technical teams and manage multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Prototyping skills are highly desired.
