Job Highlights:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as an Assistant Chief Maintenance Engineer. This hands-on role is essential for maintaining the operations and machinery of our manufacturing facilities.
Qualifications:
- Effective communication in English; consistent attendance and the ability to work extra hours for critical projects when necessary.
- A flexible attitude and willingness to learn new skills and processes.
- Good mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- General handiness and the ability to address and fix issues effectively.
- Familiarity with safety procedures including lockout/tagout and confined space protocols.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial machines.
- Proficiency with electrical systems ranging from 24v to 480v, including electronic controls, power supplies, wiring, motors, and transformers.
- Industrial plumbing experience, with an understanding of pump systems.
- Background in wastewater treatment and effluent systems.
- Knowledge of steam plant operations, including familiarity with pumps and valves.
- Candidates should either possess or be willing to obtain a City of Chicago boiler license and pass related tests within 12 months.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, masonry, and building materials.
