The Lunar Permanence Business Unit is Blue Origin's team dedicated to developing mission architectures, creating, and fostering new technologies into our existing offerings, building our next generation of leaders, and commercializing new platforms, such as our planned Lunar Lander program, Blue Moon (Link: ), and other ambitious space destinations programs that fuel Blue Origin's growth and further its mission.

Avionics PCB Layout and EEE Parts Manager scope includes the functional management of subject matter experts in the areas of PCB Layout and Electronic, Electrical, and Electromechanical (EEE) Parts for the design of avionics systems.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision are required!

Responsibilities:

  • Management of team of direct report PCB layout engineers and EEE Parts engineers that owns the design and implementation of Avionics printed circuit boards and the specification, qualification, and test of EEE parts for Avionics applications.
  • Owning formal performance management of team of direct report PCB layout and EEE parts engineers.
  • Partnering with program leaders to develop staffing plans for PCB layout and EEE parts support and supporting formal staffing activities to maintain needed levels of support.
  • Ownership of tools and processes related to PCB layout and EEE parts management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in leading functionally aligned team members and indirect/matrixed program team members.
  • 8+ years of experience working in related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of radiation effects on electronics and how to apply this to designs targeting space applications.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • 10% travel to other Blue Origin locations for various meetings, or large scale company events.

Desired:

  • Master of Science in Aerospace, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in implementing continuous improvement for processes, methods, and practices.

Compensation Range for:

CO applicants is $125,235.00-$175,329.00; WA applicants is $136,620.00-$191,268.00.

Other site ranges may differ.
