Seeking a Chief Engineer

Responsibilities

The client is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee many attributes of our off-grid electricity production and energy storage microgrids and connected data centers. The Chief Engineer will be at the core of much of what we do as we seek to revolutionize the data center business. Key responsibilities include:

1. Design datacenter(s) including their cooling systems and on-site large-scale solar installations and associated energy storage systems.
2. Work with internal teams, external vendors, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) companies to construct solar installations, energy storage systems and data center(s).
3. Develop and follow detailed budgets and construction schedules.

Qualifications

Data center experience: 5 years

Electrical engineering, Java, C++, Construction site, Solar installation, Computer networking, Chinese, Electrical Engineering, Construction management, Communication skills, Python, Solar energy.

Ideal Candidate

We are currently seeking a Chief Engineer with the following essential knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:

1. Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
2. Experience designing and installing solar facilities and associated energy storage systems.
3. Knowledge of Automation / Controls with relevant experience designing and constructing datacenters and associated cooling systems.
4. Reading / reviewing engineering plans and drawings.
5. Budgeting, scheduling and project management.
6. Must be excellent at diagnostics and troubleshooting.
7. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
8. Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
9. Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Schedule: 8-hour shift (Monday to Friday)/ On call (Weekends as needed)
