Mechanical Engineer

A machinery manufacturing client of Insight Global is actively seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their collaborative team onsite in Chattanooga, TN. In this role, you will spend 80%+ of your time hands on, designing in Creo. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in 3D modeling and a comprehensive understating of material properties including steel, aluminum, plastics, and composites. Additionally, familiarity with common drafting practices, such as weld symbols, basic tolerancing & GD&T, part details, and assemblies is highly desirable.

Must Haves:

• 3-5+ years of mechanical design experience in Creo or SolidWorks

Plusses:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience in Creo
• Background in machinery manufacturing
• Extensive knowledge of various material properties (i.e. Steel, Aluminum, Plastics, & Composites)
