Job Description
As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you are responsible for implementing the visual and interactive aspects of a web application or website, ensuring that the user interface (UI) is functional, user-friendly, and visually appealing. You work closely with designers, back-end developers, and product managers to bring design mockups to life and create seamless user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop the front-end of web applications and websites using modern web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Translate UI/UX design wireframes and mockups into interactive, functional, and responsive web pages.
- Ensure high-quality and responsive user interfaces that work across various screen sizes, resolution and devices (e.g., desktops, tablets, mobile devices).
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to refine and implement design details while considering technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end code with server-side logic, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality coding standards and share knowledge with the team.
- Use modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries like React, Angular and such to build scalable and maintainable front-end applications.
- Follow best practices for state management, routing, and component-based architecture.
- Test front-end code for functionality, performance, and visual accuracy across different browsers and devices using automated testing frameworks for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Debug front-end issues and provide quick, effective solutions.
- Implement web accessibility standards (WCAG) to ensure the site or application is usable by all individuals, including those with disabilities.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in software development and 3+ years in the senior role.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and modern frameworks like React, and Angular
- Understanding of front-end architecture and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TypeScript and component-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of headless CMS platforms and API integration (e.g., GraphQL, REST).
- Experience in using design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and design sensibility.
- Problem-solving skills to quickly resolve bugs and technical challenges.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
