Cyber Security Engineer

Description

Leidos' Digital Modernization sector is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to work on advanced threat detection and hunt engineering. The selected candidate will collaborate with a variety of customers and mission partners to support defensive cyber operations activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy innovative countermeasures to detect and eliminate cyber threats
• Assess the effectiveness of countermeasures and make adjustments as necessary
• Create automated cybersecurity solutions and tools
• Stay informed about cyber activity through review of reporting for new vulnerabilities, malware, and other threats

Basic Qualifications:

• Active DoD Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 4+ years of experience, or additional related experience in lieu of a degree
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification required
• Proficiency in programming in at least one modern language (Java, Python, Ruby, C++)
• Understanding of TCP/IP, networking, system administration, and cybersecurity tactics
• UNIX administrative skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with DISA and DoD Networks
• Development environment support experience
• Experience in automating tasks with scripting tools
• Experience with API development and integration
• Advanced certifications such as GREM, OSCP, CISSP or CASP
