As a member of the team, you will perform automated RF characterization measurements based on test conditions files provided by validation, characterization, and design engineers in preparation for transition-to-production. Your responsibility will include operating automated test stands including calibration, measurements and accuracy checking of cutting edge RF chips. Products include WLAN Power Amplifiers, LNAs, Filters and Directional Couplers. You will work directly with the co-located design team that is driving the future of global interconnectivity by acquiring data necessary for delivery of full compliance matrices. Technicians will review test results with engineers, build bench setups and run bench calibrations.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform calibration and RF measurements using automated test stands and scripts.Review measured data and assure accuracy using excel, plotting and other in-house tools.Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions.Upgrading and building bench testers per provided diagrams and drawings.Build DC harnesses for bench setups.Troubleshoots and repair test equipment as necessary.Setup and reconfigure test benches for project specific needs based on existing documentation or guidance from engineers.Installs automation software patches and firmware updates.Document test procedures and troubleshoots used to fix issues.Uses test equipment, including but not limited to oscilloscopes, DMMs, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, VNAs, impedance tuners and/or Power meters.Job RequirementsAssociate degree preferred.2-5 years of related experienceKnowledge and hands on experience with test equipment: Multimeter, spectrum analyzer, VNA, Oscilloscope, Signal Generators, power meters, power supplies, load-pull and source-pull systems, etc.Basic understanding of RF measurements such as S-Parameters, EVM, Harmonics, Gain, Noise Figure, IP3, ACP, among others at 50ohms and with load and source pull.Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities is a MUST.Team-oriented attitude, accountability and ownershipExperience with bench level troubleshooting of test equipment.Ability to interpret test data to determine positive or negative results.Ability to interpret and follow documentation such as schematics, diagrams and test procedures.Experience with Windows/Microsoft OfficeIndependent and proactive.#LI-BW1The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $32.69 - $57.16 per hour . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
