DescriptionOur Transmission & Distribution Global Practice is looking for a Project Engineer to support our Great Lakes Region, primarily in our Chicago, IL office. The Project Engineer is involved in all aspects of the projects they work on. This includes project safety, coordinating the design efforts of multi-discipline design teams, managing scopes of work, schedules, and budgets, developing cost and technical proposals, contract negotiation, risk identification, profit and loss, and management, client development, managing client expectations and overall client satisfaction.You will have the opportunity at Burns & McDonnell to build your own success story, both personally and professionally. We want you to bring your unique experiences, talents, and perspectives to our diverse team to make our client projects successful!Job ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and execution of overall Program strategic business initiatives to achieve goals and objectives.Provide leadership to the Program team; direct and coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team and ensure the efficient and cost-effective utilization of staff.Responsible for driving systems integration and the implementation of data collection, data management, data analytics and reporting tools to drive efficiency in reporting to enable strategic decisions regarding program budgets and schedule risks.Participates in management of Program budget and expenditure of funds.Achieve stated targets and standards for the Program financial performance.Present monthly financial information to leadership including project revenue forecasts.Support strategies for cross-selling engineering services across the organization.Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.Travel to client and project locations will be expected.All other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university and 3 years of detailed engineering design experience for design-only and/or EPC projects is required.Strong facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem solving skills.Highly effective communicator with clear and concise writing and presentation skills.High level of attention to detail.Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).Ability to develop and manage workplans, schedules and budgets and provide leadership to a diverse project team a plus.Engineers in Training-EIT Certification PreferredProfessional Engineer (PE) License PreferredThis job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filledEEO/Minorities/Females/Disabled/VeteransJob EngineeringPrimary Location US-IL-ChicagoOther Locations US-WI-MadisonSchedule: Full-timeTravel: Yes, 25 % of the TimeReq ID: 242114Job Hire Type Experienced #LI-EF #T&D
