- System Design: Design and architect robotic systems, defining requirements, subsystems, and interfaces to meet project objectives.
- Hardware Development: Develop and integrate robotic hardware components, including sensors, actuators, and control systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Software Development: Develop software for controlling and operating robotic systems, implementing algorithms for perception, planning, and control.
- Autonomy: Develop autonomous capabilities for robotic systems, including perception, navigation, and decision-making algorithms.
- Integration and Testing: Integrate hardware and software components into complete robotic systems, conducting testing and validation to ensure functionality and performance.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure robotic systems comply with safety standards and regulations, implementing safety features and protocols to mitigate risks.
- Documentation: Create technical documentation, including design specifications, system manuals, and test reports, to support development and deployment activities.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and software developers, to deliver end-to-end robotic solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Research and Innovation: Stay informed about the latest advancements in robotics research and technology, exploring innovative approaches and techniques to enhance robotic solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in robotics engineering, with a focus on developing and deploying robotic systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB, and experience with robotics frameworks and libraries.
- Strong understanding of robotic hardware components and subsystems, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.
- Experience with robotic perception, navigation, and manipulation algorithms, such as SLAM, path planning, and motion control.
- Familiarity with robotic simulation tools and platforms, such as ROS (Robot Operating System) and Gazebo.
- Experience with CAD software for mechanical design and 3D modeling, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, with a passion for tackling complex robotics challenges.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Competitive salary: The industry standard salary for Senior Robotics Engineers typically ranges from $170,000 to $250,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
