ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

The purpose of this role is to oversee the strategic planning, direction, and design of innovative technology solutions that meet the business requirements of SITA customers. You will collaborate closely with SITA Sales and Pre-Sales teams across assigned territories or market segments to drive new business growth and ensure high levels of client satisfaction. This includes offering guidance, support, and advice during the proposal, implementation, and deployment phases of new and existing product developments.

As Senior Manager Solution Engineer, you will be working within the Travel & Transport (T+) team - a dynamic, boutique unit of passionate individuals within SITA, at the forefront of intermodal innovation. We explore how to extend the reach of our products and solutions beyond the skies, across Air, Sea and Land. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design and develop standard and complex innovative solutions which may involve multiple parties both internally and externally including the selection of 3rd party vendor to meet customer requirements.
  • Contribute to crafting a digital vision, leveraging emerging technologies to set clear objectives and establish viable business models.
  • Produce technical customer proposals, leveraging knowledge of current new or evolving technologies and SITA solution portfolios.
  • Create repeatable digital offerings that complement our products, our technical services, enhancing operational insights and decision-making.
  • Incorporate broad digital capabilities to meet evolving client needs, ensuring our services remain at the forefront of the industry.
  • Prepare materials for proposals, create design, conduct market scans and actively participate in sales pitches to showcase our digital services.
  • Work alongside product, technology and marketing teams to strengthen client relationships and broaden our reach.

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

Working in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams spread across different countries is no problem for you. Besides the ability to work in a team environment, you also work effectively when working individually. You also have:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Information Technology or Travel & Transport Industry technology in a technical or consultant role.
  • Knowledge of IT architecture & data science required.
  • Proven track record in producing communicating and documenting successful technical customer solutions.
  • Experienced in designing, integrating, and managing software solutions.
  • Pre-Sales Business and or Commercial experience.
  • BS level Technical Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Computer Technologies. At least 1 or more technical certification is required (e.g. ASEP TE STE ESE CCIE/CCNP/CCDP/CCIE/IPT).
