The Brand Ads Team
The Brand Ads Team builds ads products for top global businesses and brands, helping them reach their audiences and build a trusting relationship with their customers.
This team owns several ads products that generate revenue each year:

1. Auction and Reservation ads
2. Ads planning and Estimation
3. Brand safety and contextual delivery
4. User-generated ads

We work on the end-to-end ads delivery tech stack, including:

1. Ads delivery, Bidding and Auction
2. Simulation and time-series forecasting
3. Ads ML modeling and ranking

Technical Assessment
Candidates who pass resume evaluation will be invited to participate in TikTok's technical online assessment in HackerRank.

Responsibilities

• Build new features that touch hundreds of millions of people around the world
• Solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems
• Partner with PMs, designers, engineers from different teams on building backend support for mobile application
• Participate in technical discussions related to team's product and engineering work

Qualifications

• Graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent practical experience
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
• Experience with coding in Python, Java, Golang, C#, or C++

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experiences with the following areas is a plus: Auction and Bidding, Recommendation/Search/Ads ranking, database engines, data pipelines
• Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications
• Curiosity towards new technologies and entrepreneurship
• High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities

Job Information:

Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $112065 - $172800 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
