Java Software Engineer – Hybrid Atlanta, GA

Optomi, in partnership with a leader in digital commerce solutions is seeking a Java Software Engineer to join their team as a full-time employee in the Atlanta market. The ideal candidate will have previous industry experience working in Retail or Banking, a strong familiarity in data platforms, and knowledge of point-of-sale systems. This is a hybrid position that offers available remote flex days and employees usually required to be onsite 60% per week.

Experience of the right candidate:

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience in GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Experience working with Kubernetes and Docker
• Knowledge/Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases with a strong preference to MongoDB
• Experience developing microservices and REST APIs

Responsibilities of the right candidate:

• Work within the Data Platform Team to develop self-service and checkout functionalities.
• Collaborate on projects involving barcode scanning technology and transaction handling.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to system architecture and database management.
