Senior Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack

We are looking for passionate Full Stack Software Engineers to join our team and be part of a major transformation within Capital One.

What You’ll Do:

1. Lead a team of developers working on diverse technology projects using distributed microservices and full stack systems to meet regulatory requirements.
2. Stay up-to-date with tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, and participate in internal and external tech communities. You may also be asked to code or evaluate code.
3. Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that provide powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
4. Use programming languages like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, as well as various AWS tools and services, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and container orchestration services.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree
2. At least 8 years of experience in software engineering (Internships do not apply)
3. At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master's Degree
2. 9+ years of experience in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
3. 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
4. 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
5. 1+ years of people management experience
6. 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
