Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience working with public cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kubernetes and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD processes. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively to support our development and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on GCP and Azure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure high availability and cost-efficiency.
- Kubernetes Management:
- Deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes clusters on GCP and Azure.
- Implement best practices for Kubernetes cluster security, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Implement best practices for version control, branching strategies, and code quality checks.
- Integrate automated testing, security scans, and compliance checks into the CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers and other team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and application performance.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements in the cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and CI/CD processes.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure data protection, access control, and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of the infrastructure and applications.
- Analyze and report on system performance, capacity, and incidents.
- Continuously improve monitoring and alerting processes.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Extensive experience with GCP and Azure cloud platforms.
- Proven experience with Kubernetes, including deploying and managing clusters.
- Proven experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and database management in the cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a plus.
