As part of our analytics team, you will be providing structured finance cash flow modeling, analytics, and data support to our clients. You will build and develop complex cash flow models using our fixed income software (SFW). You will focus on our waterfall library, used within various ratings groups, which requires a detailed understanding of models, data, and technology. You will also take part in the design and integration of new features, functions, and analytics within our products, provide data support to ensure availability and quality of data for our clients, and assist our clients in meeting their technology, model, and data needs.

Role/Responsibilities:

An associate engineer whose primary responsibility is to provide client support and address client needs in the structured finance sector. Responsibilities include:

  1. Analyze complex structured finance cash flow models.
  2. Provide client support and resolve client requests.
  3. Update complex structured finance cash flow models over the performance cycle with accuracy and within the required turnaround time.
  4. Ensure the accuracy of data feeding the cash flow models in the deal library.
  5. Coordinate with the product development team to design, build, test, and implement new features.
  6. Collaborate cross-functionally within the organization.
  7. Assist with special projects.

Qualifications:

  1. Masters Degree in Finance with a quantitative background at Undergrad/Bachelors level.
  2. CFA/FRM certified is a plus.
  3. 1-2 years working experience, preferably in the fixed income space.
  4. Meticulous attention to detail, outstanding organizational abilities, and strong analytical skills, with the capacity to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  5. Familiarity with structured finance cash flow models and data is desirable. Practical knowledge in at least one of the structured finance asset classes (CDO, CLO, ABS, SLABS, or RMBS) is highly preferable.
  6. Proficient or expert level skills in Excel, VBA, SQL, Python is a plus.
  7. Familiarity with additional programming/scripting languages is beneficial.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Should have a self-learning attitude.
  10. Demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, and ability to learn quickly and excel as part of a dynamic team.
