Firmware Engineer

6 month contract to hire

need to relocate within a few months

onsite in Fort Lauderdale with some flex

Must Haves:

• Programming experience in C, C++, and MicroPython for embedded systems, including development of algorithms, manipulation of data structures, and implementing highly optimized code.
• Knowledge of ARM or equivalent embedded microcontroller architectures.
• Experience with lab tools: Logic Analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG/ICE debuggers and protocol analyzers.
• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, etc.
• Programming experience in RTOS systems such as FreeRTOS Experience with standard tools such as Jira and git

Plusses:

• In depth experience of software and firmware development methodologies to ensure firmware quality and time-to-market (design verification, code reviews, prototyping and product testing).
• Hardware background and knowledge
• Experience with one or more of the following microcontroller related technologies: ESP32, STM32 is a plus.
• Hands on experience in firmware development and verification, system failure analysis and problem solving.

Day to Day:

Consultant will be responsible for architecture, design, and development of next generation of embedded lighting and network management technologies.
