Automation Engineer (DeltaV and Rockwell Systems)
Hybrid (Clayton, NC)
The Automation Engineer is a expert in DeltaV and Rockwell systems who leads medium-scale automation projects and provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in these platforms. This role involves guiding automation and validation efforts, as well as collaborating across departments and manufacturing sites to drive process improvements.
- Lead medium-scale automation projects focused on DeltaV DCS and Rockwell PLC systems, managing budgets, schedules, and execution.
- Act as SME for DeltaV and Rockwell systems, providing guidance in system commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Mentor junior engineers and develop standards for automation practices across the organization.
- Foster cross-department collaboration to drive operational improvements.
- Ensure adherence to GxP compliance, change control, and quality oversight requirements.
- After-hours support may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of direct experience in automation engineering, specializing in DeltaV and Rockwell systems.
- Expertise in managing medium-scale automation projects and providing SME-level guidance.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
