Senior Designer

he Opportunity:

Blackpoint Cyber is a fast-growing, founder-led cybersecurity company with a mission to win the unfair fight against cyberthreats by providing our partners with the most robust ecosystem of solutions, powered by best-in-class MDR.

We are looking for a motivated self-starter who not only has deep experience in graphic design, but also a proven history of using that experience to develop high-performing brand awareness campaigns and engaging presentations. You will partner closely with the creative and marketing teams to elevate the Blackpoint brand by crafting high-quality designs and presentations, collaborating on brand strategy and providing direction to junior designers.

What You’ll Do:

• Use advanced skills in design and strategy to develop and maintain Blackpoint’s brand identity, collaborating with the Creative Director to establish brand guidelines that represent our mission and values
• Collaborate with marketing, sales and product teams to understand project requirements and develop creative concepts that align with our brand and goals
• Conceptualize and create engaging marketing materials, including emails, social media graphics, presentations, landing pages and print materials, to support various marketing campaigns
• As a senior member of the creative team, you will provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, helping them develop their skills and grow professionally
• Lead the brand identity evolution of Blackpoint University, our recently launched on-demand learning platform
• Transform complex ideas, data and information into visually compelling and persuasive presentations with captivating layouts, visuals, and animations that align with our brand and make for impactful storytelling
• Design and create informative infographics and data visualizations to simplify complex information and make it easily understandable for the audience
• Present and articulate design rationale and make insightful recommendations
• Continuously review and optimize deliverables based on client feedback, industry trends, and best practices, striving to deliver designs of the highest quality

Key Requirements:

• 5-7 years graphic design experience
• A compelling portfolio that showcases your design abilities, style, and experience
• Fluent in the tools our team uses most:
• Adobe Creative Cloud software
• Microsoft PowerPoint
• Figma experience is a plus
• Collaborative spirit who values & welcomes both giving and receiving feedback
• Organized self-starter and creative problem solver with a positive, can-do attitude is a must!
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines
• Strong time-management skills
• Extremely strong attention to detail
• Great interpersonal and communication skills, including solid presentation skills and the ability to articulate design choices and rationale to peers and leaders

In the First 30 Days You Will:

• Familiarize yourself with the company's mission, values, and technology.
• Understand the cybersecurity industry, the company's target audience, and their specific design needs.
• Meet with team members, especially those in marketing and product departments, to understand their design requirements and ongoing projects.
• Review existing design materials, including marketing collateral, presentations, website, and branding assets.
• Identify areas for improvement in terms of design consistency, visual appeal, and alignment with cybersecurity industry standards.
• Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to develop a design brand strategy that aligns with the company's mission to increase visibility and awareness in the market
• Discuss ideas and concepts to enhance the visual communication of our presentation design and strategy, ensuring they resonate with the target audience.
• Start working on immediate design projects, such as creating presentations, social media graphics, email graphics, landing pages, and marketing collateral for brand awareness campaigns.
• Ensure that all designs reflect the company's brand identity and adhere to design best practices.

In 60 Days, You Will:

• Implement a collaborative design process that involves regular feedback sessions with stakeholders to refine and improve designs.
• Deepen your knowledge of cybersecurity trends, terminology, and visual elements used in the industry.
• Analyze competitors' design strategies to identify areas of differentiation for the company's visual branding.
• Collaborate with Creative Director to develop comprehensive brand guidelines to maintain consistency across all design deliverables and messaging
• Propose and lead a new presentation design strategy that enhances the company's visual communication and strengthens our position in the market.
• Advocate for design thinking and user-centered design approaches within the company.

In 90 Days, You Will:

• Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and team members into ongoing design projects, demonstrating ability to adapt and respond to input effectively.
• Contribution to the company’s brand guidelines and their integration into company marketing strategy should be evident.
• Continuously optimize and refine the company's design assets based on user feedback, industry trends, and design best practices.
• Conduct design training sessions for team members, ensuring everyone is aware of the design guidelines and how to use the assets effectively.
• Collaboration with marketing team should provide an understanding of company culture and a clear plan for future design initiatives to support company’s growth.
• Mentorship of junior designers should show a good relationship, where feedback is accepted and implemented, showing the junior designer’s skillset improvement.
