We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Automation Engineer role with our client who is a works on primarily industrial oil and gas projects.Summary:The Automation Engineer provides design efforts from inception through production in both new and existing designs and projects. The ideal candidate will perform engineering design activities and calculations for projects.Job Duties:Perform automation & controls design evaluations and work to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraintsReview policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory complianceProvide technical design and troubleshooting supportPrioritize and accomplish project goalsRely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of each jobUse computer assisted design/drafting software to develop control enclosure designsPrepare preliminary design proposal(s), engineering design, and supporting documentationPerform PLC, HMI, and simulator programming that will meet all project acceptance criteriaParticipate in engineering and general design reviews as requiredRefine and complete designs after design review meetingsInteract and coordinate with designers to develop and complete designsInteract with clients and vendorsTake initiative to identify and correct potential design flaws and identify potential risks or engineering design impacts for the projectParticipate in and lead bid walk-down meetingsProvide on-site construction and commissioning supportInteract with vendors to specify and/or troubleshoot equipmentRequired:BSEE from an accredited university3 plus years of experience with automation and controls designAutoCAD Design ExperienceProficient in various PLC and HMI software packagesTravel Up to 50% throughout the USPreferred:AutoCAD Electrical Design ExperienceExperience with Rockwell and GE PLC and HMI programming software packages are preferredEITPay: $37-$42/hr.Location: Alpharetta, GADuration: temp-to-hireIf you are interested or would like more information on this position, please click the apply button or contact me directly at:
