Senior Android Engineer, Dating Application

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the iOS team, Product Managers, and our QA team to build and maintain a fast, reliable app. We deeply value ownership, empowerment, proactivity, data-driven decisions, and user focus. You’ll be an important voice in our product & software architecture decisions.

What’s the Job?

1. Use the latest technologies to develop highly innovative consumer mobile products
2. Designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing elegant mobile solutions
3. Working collaboratively with a brilliant cross-functional team to make the best app it can be for its users
4. Working directly with quality engineers to identify test cases and devise efficient, scalable testing processes to allow us to run weekly releases
5. Owning projects and deeply understanding the why behind them
6. Collaborating effectively across our engineering teams in North America and Taiwan

What We’ll Love About You

1. You have a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
2. Experience serving as a subject matter expert with a high level of autonomy
3. You have 8+ years experience building Android applications
4. Experience in Kotlin
5. You have experience with large Android codebases and complex, high-performance apps
6. Strong practical knowledge of software engineering best practices and design patterns such as MVVM
7. You have experience with Android app performance optimization & metrics
8. You’re a strong problem solver and fast learner
9. You’re compassionate, collaborative, and deeply care for the people around you
10. You’re passionate about top quality code and using the latest best practices
11. You’re mission driven
12. You build software with your users and their needs top of mind
13. You enjoy shipping products, measuring value to users, and iterating

We’ll really swoon if you have

1. You have experience working with Kotlin Coroutines and Coroutine Flows
2. You have experience working with international teams

Location: This role is twice a week in a hybrid role.

Salary Range: $180,000-$270,000 USD base. Equity. Medical, Dental, Vision.
